The welfare and social development of our pupils as members of the school community is a responsibility we take very seriously and in which we request the full co-operation and support of parents. The pupils will come into contact with many new teachers and, from being members of a smaller community, they will find themselves members of a much larger one with many new friends. To avoid the danger of the school becoming impersonal, each child is placed in the care of a personal Form Tutor. Pupils meet Form Tutors daily. Our aim is to develop a good personal and caring relationship between pupils and staff. The administration of the system of Form Tutors is under the general direction of the Year Leader and Key Stage Progress Leaders. Letters from parents dealing with routine matters, for example absences should normally be addressed to the pupil’s Form Tutor.
