Extra-Curricular Activities

Pupils have a wide variety of sports on offer through extra-curricular opportunities. This is inclusive and open to all pupils through after school and lunchtime clubs so all pupils can attend.

Extra-curricular sporting activities offered to pupils at Saint Bede’s are: athletics, cricket, cross-country, badminton, basketball, fitness, football, dance, gymnastics, handball, netball, table tennis, tennis, trampolining and volleyball. The school enters district league competitions in some of these activities and others are offered as recreational activities.  It is important to get involved and make the most of every opportunity!  Joining in helps students to learn new skills, make friends, have fun and is good for their physical, social and mental well-being.

Saint Bede’s has an excellent record in pupil participation as well as sporting successes. To ensure that we properly recognise our pupils’ sporting achievements, commitment and enthusiasm we reward them in a variety of ways throughout the year. See below.

REWARDS

The PE Department encourage all pupils to do their best and work with in positive and enthusiastic manner.  We also try and provide opportunities both in and out of school for pupils to participate in a variety of physical activities.
