TTO plus 5 days, 37 hours pw

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE This is an exciting opportunity to join the operational/business function of the school, which includes finance, human resources, governance, events, communications, administration, and site management. Working under the supervision of and line managed by the School Business Manager, the successful candidate will provide a wide range of administrative services in providing support to the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, school staff and Governors to ensure the day-to-day activities run efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with all statutory and local authority requirements.

We are involved with local training consortiums (School Direct Programmes), as well as having strong links with the University of Cumbria’s PGCE programme. We are in partnership Edge Hill University ITE supporting PGCE and School Direct teacher training.
CATHOLIC TEACHING ALLIANCE
The Preston based Catholic Teaching Alliance (CTA) is a partnership between 56 Catholic primary and secondary schools and post-16 colleges with a shared vision and commitment to providing first class, professional development for trainee teachers, practising teachers and school leaders. We work in partnership with the University of Cumbria. The CTA is underpinned by a shared passion to train and develop outstanding and inspirational teachers who are highly employable and dedicated professionals who appreciate the distinct nature of working as part of a Catholic community. NEWMAN TEACHING ALLIANCE
The Newman Teaching Alliance’s one-year course is designed in partnership with North West based Edge Hill University to offer all the benefits of a conventional PGCE with a firm grounding in practice as well as theory. The Alliance includes five local partner high schools at present. All of these schools are local, long-standing partners of Cardinal Newman College and all have been graded as outstanding or good by Ofsted in their last inspection. This course gives ITT students the unique opportunity to combine training in a post-16 academic environment as well as training at KS3 and KS4.
